I never imagined I’d find healing through an online ministry. For most of my life, I believed I was alone in my struggles—unseen, unheard, and spiritually exhausted. I had grown up in a Christian household, but my relationship with God had always felt distant, mechanical, and conditional. Church was a routine, not a refuge. By my late twenties, I was battling silent depression, shame from past mistakes, and a growing sense of hopelessness.
It was during the pandemic that everything started unraveling. The isolation only deepened my emotional wounds. I stopped going to church, stopped opening my Bible, and stopped talking to God altogether. I thought He had given up on me. But the truth was, I had closed my heart long before the world shut down.
One night, while scrolling aimlessly through social media, I came across a short video shared by a friend. It was from The Way Orha—a short devotional on John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” The words cut deep. It wasn’t the preacher’s voice that moved me—it was the weight behind the Scripture. I replayed it three times.
That night, I visited The Way Orha’s website. I found stories of people like me—people who had lost their sense of direction but had found hope through faith and community. I read about the Inner Healing Ministry and decided to reach out, not really expecting anything.
To my surprise, someone replied within a few hours. They prayed with me over Zoom, sent me Scriptures to meditate on, and invited me to join a virtual healing session. That one session turned into weekly check-ins. I wasn’t just being listened to—I was being discipled. I was taught to recognize spiritual strongholds, to replace lies with truth, and most importantly, to trust Jesus with the parts of myself I had tried to hide.
Over the next few months, I joined The Way Orha’s Prayer & Intercession Ministry as a participant—and then, a volunteer. I now help pray for others who are in the same place I once was: broken, discouraged, and seeking answers. My faith isn’t just restored—it’s come alive. I’ve seen the power of prayer, the beauty of biblical community, and the kindness of a Savior who never gave up on me.
“The Way Orha reminded me that God still speaks. He still heals. And He still chooses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.”
If you’re reading this and wondering if things can really change—yes, they can. It doesn’t matter how far you’ve drifted or how deep the pain goes. I’m living proof that faith, even when sparked online, can lead to life-changing growth.
